“Gonna finish him 100%”- Marlon Vera fires off strong warning to Rob Font ahead of Fight Night clash

Marlon Vera is riding high on confidence before his fight with Rob Font after delivering a highlight loss to Frankie Edgar. In a recent interview given to TMZ, he said “I’m gonna finish him a hundred percent.” He also stated “I would love to fight Aldo. I want a five-round rematch against Jose Aldo.”

Replying to the reporter about a possible title shot after this fight he said ”If I finish him the way I wanted to finish him  I am going to get a title shot.” Marlon Vera is quite excited about all the possible matchups in the UFC. He further stated, “My time is coming.”

Vera finished Suga via first-round TKO. One thing common between both Vera and Rob is their loss to the legend and future Hall of Famer Jose Aldo. Aldo held the belt in multiple organizations for almost a decade. Both Marlon’s and Rob’s loss to him showed there are some holes in their game. Marlon also stated after defeating Rob Font he wants the title shot next. Several critics see Marlon defeating either Aljamain Sterling or Petr Yan. He still has some way to go and learn his trade to be the rightful heir of the Bantamweight throne.

Talking about his bout with Font, Marlon is pretty sure he delivers a knockout. Rob who has a UFC record of 9 wins and 5 losses is no joke. He has defeated some celebrated names in the organization like Cody Garbrandt, Marlon Moraes, and Sergio Pettis. Rob’s strong point is his boxing game. Many believe he has the jab in the UFC. Rob has successfully kept many of his opponents at bay all thanks to his jab.

In the interview with TMZ, he admitted fighting Rob will be fun. Whereas Marlon is a well-rounded fighter, whether the game goes to the ground or they stand and exchange, my money will be on Marlon to take the win. Marlon is entering this bout as a heavy underdog. It remains to be seen if he walks his talk of knocking out Rob Font. Marlon and Rob face off on May 1st
