Raul Rosas Jr. is keeping the loftiest ambitions, which he took into UFC Mexico. During the UFC on ESPN 64 card on Saturday, he met Vince Morales and defeated him via decision. In doing so, he has broken a record that would be tough to get to unless one starts really early.
At 18 years old, Rosas Jr. already became the youngest fighter in history to earn an Octagon victory when he won at UFC 282. The UFC stats book now has Raul Rosas Jr. as the youngest fighter (20) to reach five competition victories in the UFC roster. Rosas Jr. is already aspiring to be the youngest UFC champ on record; this is a good start to it.
The record first belonged to Vitor Belfort, who won five fights in the promotion at the age of 21 years and 203 days. ‘The Phenom’s’ record-setting win came against Wanderlei Silva in 1998 – six years before conceiving Rosas Jr was even a thing.

Ideally, he wants to reach above Jon Jones in the next couple years, fight by fight, and this weekend got him another step closer. The fighter outworked Vince Morales for a unanimous decision scorecard (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
‘El Niño Problema’ is also turning out to be a prolific striker. He also absorbs just about 1.66 significant strikes per minute in UFC 135-pound competition. It’s the third best rate in the division, trailing behind Chico Camus (1.31) and Montel Jackson (1.38).

Meanwhile, Vince Morales is 0-3 since he returned for a second coming in September 2024. It’s his fourth consecutive loss facing the Team 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu fighter. He hasn’t managed to win in the Octagon since December 2021. Rosas Jr. now trails ahead and plans for more.
After winning UFC Mexico, red-hot contender Raul Rosas Jr. has plans to buy his mother a house
Raul Rosas Jr. is still starting much too young. However, getting his hand raised at UFC on ESPN 64 was a big moment for Rosas Jr. Not only does he believe that it potentially sets him up for a ranked fight, but it also helps the fighter tick off some stuff on his bucket list.

Raul Rosas Jr. is aiming high when it comes to his fighting career. He already put everyone on notice back at the second annual Noche PPV, banking on his rising status. However, the 20-year-old is now financially booming high enough to fulfill some personal goals, including buying a house for his mother:
More than anything I’m just focused on the belt – I don’t care if I’m 10 fights away or two fights away,…That’s my ultimate goal and more than anything, I’m able to provide my family every single fight, more and more. I’m just happy that now, God willing, I’m going to be able to go back right now and talk about buying a house for my mother, my family and keep supporting them and myself.

The young fighter has already had quite a few post-fight bonus worth of performances under his belt. Rosas Jr. admits that even though he raised his hand, he wasn’t thrilled with his own performance. He gave it a passing grade but thinks there could have been more effort to be dominant or finish his opponent inside the distance. The Mexican-American fighter is also aptly eagle-eyed for the state of the division and means to snag his contender status as soon as possible.
What is Chiwiwis? What is the fighter saying after his scraps?
Raul Rosas Jr. and his war cry isn’t as bloated as “CHAMA” Alex Pereira just yet. But it is surely getting to be there. Rosas Jr’s bizarre ‘Chiwiws’ catchphrase after his wins has now become a tradition of sorts. That’s because he keeps winning in an empathic fashion. The fighter isn’t undefeated but is yet as much of a breakout case as any other.
Rosas Jr went viral on social media when, in a post-fight interview, he started shouting out his friends using a phrase they use in private conversations. Fans weren’t sure exactly what he was saying, but he has since popularized the term “Chiwiwis,” with an interesting backstory.
A really close friend of mine, who’s basically like a brother to me, we spend a lot of time together, he would say it all the time, and it stuck with me, …really got off when I had a training camp in Centro Ceremonial Otomí. It’s on a mountain, and there’s no service, so all you can do is train and play ping pong and things like that to pass time. So whenever he’d beat us at a game he’d go, ‘Chiwiwis,’ or whenever we’d be messing around. It just stuck.

While unplanned, an elated Rosas Jr. would use it as a call back after win and it stuck. During UFC Mexico at Arena CDMX, he escaped a deep submission attempt from Vince Morales to secure the win. The crowd, that has caught on to the phrase, started singing it too.
