Ahead of the middleweight title fight at UFC 271, Michael Bisping believes Whittaker is getting into the head of Adesanya.

The stage is set for the much-awaited rematch between Izzy and Whittaker at UFC 271 on February 12. Whitaker will be fighting Izzy for the second time in order to get his title back which he lost. The first time the pair faced each other was at UFC 243 in which Israel Adesanya completely destroyed Whittaker and became the middleweight champion. Now after three years, fans are extremely excited to see the outcome of the fight.

Bisping expressed that this time the fight will be different but Adesanya seems to get a bit more personal than usual this time. Bisping explained that Adesanya is someone who talks a lot in order to get into his opponent’s mind. But despite having a big mouth the fighter proves his abilities in the octagon every time.

“It’s gonna be a different fight but it seems to me Adesanya is getting very personal. He’s talking a lot of shit. Saying he(Whittaker) is not a good person, he’s got an ego and all this type of stuff…Izzy is a character who talks a lot of shit. He’s a funny game, he’s got charisma, he’s got a big mouth but he backs it up sensationally,” said Bisping.

According to Bisping, this might be the result of Adesanya feeling the pressure of fighting Whittaker this time. The main reason for this pressure can be the last fight against Jan Blachowicz which Izzy lost. Blachowicz defeated Izzy by exploiting his weakness and maintaining pressure by taking down the fighter again and again. Blachowicz was able to control Izzy on the ground which helped him win the bout. The same could happen in the next fight against Whittaker as he is known for being an established wrestler.
