The MMA world just experienced the UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski defend his title against challenger, Chan Sung. The fight was a very entertaining one and both the fighters have the best of their capabilities. But it can be said that the fight was majorly one-sided as the Aussie dominated the fight throughout the five rounds.
The fighter showed why he is considered one of the best on the roster. He proved his word when he said that he was currently even more dangerous than he was. Volkanovski dropped Chan Sung multiple times in every round and wasn’t giving him any chance to recover.
In the end, Volkanovski won the fight via TKO and retained his championship status for the third time.

The fight between Volkanovski and Sung Jung turned out the way most had expected. But the brutality with which the champ destroyed his opponent was unprecedented. It got to a level where the referee had to step in and stop the fight.
Dean is considered one of the most reliable referees in UFC and again had to take a hard decision. As the fight reached the fifth round, Sung Jung was almost at his limit, he had cuts all over his face and was in very bad condition. But staying true to his name as the zombie, the fighter continued to fight. But at that point, there was nothing left for Sung Jung to do and he was too tough for his own good.
The fight commentators, Joe Rogan and Jon Anik were concerned and were discussing the possibility of stopping the fight as soon as possible. Before the round started, the ringside doctor went to check on the ‘Korean Zombie’ and whether he would be able to continue or not. After clearing that out, the fight started.
After a minute, Volkanovski landed a massive shot that connected and wobbled Sung Jung. It was at that moment that Dean decided that it was enough and he stopped the fight. The decision was appreciated by many fans and experts as it was the right call. During the post-fight interview, even the champ revealed that he was feeling bad for Sung Jung as he gave him a lot of punishment and wanted the fight to be stopped.
