“My journey is my journey”- Kayla Harrison reveals whether Amanda Nunes’ loss to Julianna Pena has a bearing on her move to UFC

Amanda Nunes’ loss will not put any effect on Kayla Harrison’s next move. Kayla Harrison is currently one of the top free agents available in the whole combat sports scenario.

The former two-time Olympic gold medalist has revealed that her future plans included some impressive goals like going into multiple promotions and winning multiple belts. Currently, for the fighter, PFL is at the top when it comes to her next move. Her management team even discussed other promotions like UFC and Bellator.

The chances of Harrison to join UFC has to wait as she might get her title shot now as the next Bantamweight title fight will be the rematch between Julian Penna and Amanda Nunes. Due to this, it might not be the best timing for Harrison to join UFC. With Bellator, Harrison did put forward some of her demands but most probably that might not work out for the fighter.

Harrison was recently spotted in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s promotion, Eagle FC where she did an interview with MMA Junkie. During the interview, the fighter was asked about her future and how Amanda Nunes‘s loss affected her decision.

While responding to the question, the one-time PFL champion revealed that it didn’t matter to her majorly but she was a little disappointed for her because she is her friend. Harrison explained that he has a great amount of respect for Nunes both inside and outside the octagon but what she does with her career has nothing to do with the fighter’s plans.

Harrison also expressed that as an individual fighter she wants to beat everybody and be a champion. “What Amanda did with her career has no bearing on my career. You know, I have a ton of respect for her as a fighter, as a mom, as a human being but my journey is my journey. She knows I know everyone knows that I want to be the best it’s not a secret,” said Harrison.
