Nate Diaz is absolutely wilding with his new proposal for his next fight. The Stockton Slugger has one fight left in his contract and he wants to fight the best of the best.
One of the biggest stars in UFC, Nate Diaz is looking to make his last fight on his contract a blockbuster. The fighter California is adamant that he won’t fight anyone that are of low rankings. Nate is coming off a stunning performance. The Diaz brother and top ranked Leon Edwards put on a excellent show for the fans at UFC 263. Despite losing the fight via unanimous decision, Nate stole the show with his striking in the last minute of the fight where he almost beat the #2 welterweight.
Nate has been in the mix with several welterweights recently. From Vicente Luque, Gilbert Burns, to Khamzat Chimaev and even the champion of the welterweight division, Kamaru Usman. Nate has still not finalized an opponent for his last fight. Chimaev, who is the current hot thing in the UFC has called out the Stockton Slugger but Diaz has not shown any interest. UFC President Dana White himself has called out Nate and insists on making the Chimaev vs Diaz fight.
What does Nate Diaz want?
Though the promotion has a fight in mind for the UFC superstar, Nate is clear on fighting a top 4 fighter. After the welterweight champion, Usman successfully defended his title against Colby Covington at UFC 268, Nate reacted to the fight and wrote on Twitter, “If chamiv can beat usman Maybe I can give shot.”
With Kamaru lapping around the division at this point, even the champion is looking to take on a new challenge in his career. The fighter is open to getting a “big money” fight and get his net worth booming. Nate is definitely a fighter that can bring in massive numbers when he is fighting and there is no doubt Usman would be open to fighting the Stockton Slugger.
As far as Khamzat is concerned, the fighter from Chechnya has just entered the Top 10 rankings as he sits in the #10 position. The fighter beat #11 Li Jingliang at UFC 267 to get himself ranked. Who would you like to see Nate Diaz face next?
