“I was just ready to go and beat everybody,” Nate Diaz answers if he asked for the Leon Edwards fight

Nate Diaz
Nate Diaz is undoubtedly the biggest MMA star on this planet right now, the fan support behind him and his brother Nick Diaz is just insane, and after almost 2 years Nate Diaz is making his come back against Leon “The Rocky” Edwards.
Nate Diaz is (20-12) on his professional record and if he can get past this one then he might get a title shot against the current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, but Leon Edwards is going to be one hell of a challenge for him.
Nate recently released a video from his training camp before this fight, where he was asked If he asked for Leon Edwards or did the UFC told him he was ready to go so you can face him, to which Nate replied “I was just ready to go and beat everybody,” this mentality is one of his greatest strengths and fans are dying to watch him compete again.
His last fight was against Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title which ended in a doctor’s stoppage, maybe after this one Nate can run that one back as well.
Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad are competing on the same fight card but not against each other

Leon Edwards competed in 2021 against Belal Muhammad, and this fight came after a long 2-year gap. Leon was on an 8-fight win streak and he had great momentum but even that failed to give him a title shot against the champ Kamaru Usman.
So, to earn that shot he competed against Belal Muhammad but the fight ended with an unintentional eye poke from Edwards and it was declared as no contest, after the fight Belal demanded an immediate rematch but Edwards showed no interest at all.
Belal Muhammad was really mad at Edwards but unfortunately for him, the rematch didn’t happen, it is ironic how these two are competing in the same card but now against each other.
