Jorge Masvidal lost the grudge match against Colby Covington at the main event of UFC 272. These two were former training partners, but a series of unfortunate events led them to hate each other, and after years of back and forth, they finally got the chance to settle their beef inside the octagon.

Covington dominated Jorge with his superior wrestling, and he finally got the bragging rights. He was roasting Masvidal on social media on daily basis, and Masvidal warned him that their rivalry was far from over. He threatened to assault Colby if he ever sees him on the street, but Colby remained unfazed by this. Covington announced himself as the King of Miami, and Nelk boys took him out for a dinner to present him with “The King of Miami belt.”

Masvidal somehow got to the location wearing a mask and overall, and he sucker-punched Colby, that chipped his teeth. Colby defended himself and retreated back into the restaurant to call the cops.

Cops dissolved the situation, and according to recent reports, Masvidal might face felony charges if Covington decides to proceed with the investigation. Everyone from the MMA community slammed Masvidal for his actions, and Ben Askren called him a hypocrite for doing so. As Masvidal awaits his judgment, Kelvin Gastelum recalled his infamous brawl against Leon Edwards after UFC London, and he highlighted how Leon decided to not press any charges against him.

For those who don’t know, Masvidal knocked out Darren Till in front of his home crowd at UFC London, and Edwards also competed at the same card. During Masvidal’s post-fight interview, he got involved in a verbal altercation with Leon, and he walked up to him and hit him with ‘3 piece and a soda.’ The quote became quite popular, but now Masvidal might face some serious legal troubles, as Covington is a firm believer in America’s justice system, and not to mention his intense hate for Masvidal.
