Dana White has joined hands with Adam Silver, the Commissioner of the NBA, in order to make significant waves in tackling illegal streaming. For some time, there has been a significant rise in the illegal streaming of sporting events, which poses a serious threat to the income of sports organizations. These unauthorized streams allow viewers to bypass subscription fees, resulting in substantial revenue losses.

The NBA, UFC, and NFL, three of the most prominent sports organizations in the United States, have formed a collective alliance with a common goal: to take action against piracy and safeguard their content to achieve financial stability. In a recent interview during the presser of the Dana White Contender Series, the UFC head honcho was asked about the steps he is taking toward tackling piracy.

Illegal streaming has always been a problem for promotions like UFC, which provide their content and take revenues through subscriptions.  White has been speaking about this for a long time now, and last year, the UFC president appeared in a GQ Sports YouTube video and was questioned by a fan of the sport: “Why is Dana so concerned about pirated streams? Who cares.”

To which White replied aggressively: “I care, dummy. That’s how everybody makes their money. You’re b****** about fighters not making enough money, they get a piece of the pay-per-view. People who steal it are stealing from us and them, and what happens to people who steal? You get f****** smashed and you go to jail. That’s what happens to you.”
