Ian Garry won the biggest fight of his career at UFC 292. He got the win with ease. Garry’s win has won him appreciation from all MMA fans. But he also managed to get the attention of Dillon Danis. Danis recently decimated Logan Paul on social media by attacking him and his fiancee. He targeted Paul’s fiancee and exposed photos of her on the internet. Dillon Danis targeted Ian Garry and his wife in a twist of events.

After his marriage, Garry the Irishman decided to take the maiden name of his wife, ‘Machado.’ This was not taken well by many, like Danis. Following “The Future’s” win against Neil Magny, Danis wrote on Twitter, “Irish fans, here’s a question: does it bother you that Ian Garry adopted his wife’s last name?” It appears that Danis has embraced his role as a villain in combat sports.

Garry is 13 wins into his MMA career and has yet to taste defeat. The former welterweight champion has steadily risen to the top in UFC. He will get a top-10 opponent for his next fight. On the other hand, Danis has a boxing bout scheduled with Paul this October. He has not competed professionally since 2019 and has only been involved in online arguments with other personalities.

Ian Garry is now a real threat to welterweights

After UFC 292, Ian Garry displayed his high-level striking ability once again. He has backed his talk and beaten the toughest opponent in his career. Neil Magny had fought at least twice the number of fighters than Garry. Magny’s experience was no match for Gary’s persistent striking and brutally timed leg kicks. The Future has a shot at the top 10 contenders in the welterweight division.

After UFC 292, Garry has defeated 13 opponents without a single loss. He was also the champion of the same division in Cage Warriors, along with this deadly record. Fighters need to grapple with Garry to overcome the Irishman’s elite striking. On the other hand, Garry needs to start to improve his grappling to contend against the best wrestlers in the welterweight division.

In a division ruled by elite fighters like Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman, Shavkat Rakhmonov, and Colby Covington, Garry is starting to make some noise. He has called out Stephen Thompson for his next match-up. This fight would hype up his status even more.
