Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka fought each other in the UFC 295 main event for the light heavyweight title. Furthermore, Pereira was able to secure his victory via a second-round TKO stoppage, which upset several fans. Subsequently, Pereira made history by becoming the ninth UFC fighter to win championship titles in two separate weight divisions.
In addition, Pereira has achieved a lot during his MMA career and has fought a total of 11 fights. Furthermore, out of his 11 fights, he has fought seven of them in the UFC, and he started his journey in 2021 against Andreas Michailidis. Subsequently, in his short tenure at the UFC, Pereira has become the middleweight champion and the light heavyweight champion. After defeating Prochazka at UFC 295, Pereira celebrated his victory and his new championship belt by eating some pizza. Similarly, Pereira relished the cheat meal after his victory while wearing his new belt around his waist.
Before being an MMA fighter, Pereira was a well-accomplished kickboxer at the Glory Kickboxing promotion. Similarly, he had a professional record of 33-7 with 21 victories via KOs. Furthermore, Pereira was also a two-division champion in Glory, holding titles in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.
Hence, Pereira is one of the few athletes in the world to become a world champion in two different weight classes and two different sports. Furthermore, his long-time rivalry with Israel Adesanya started during their kickboxing careers.

In the first round, both fighters kept looking for opportunities, and during their exchange, Pereira caught Prochazka in a neck choke. However, Prochazka was able to turn the table around by taking Pereiraa to the canvas as they grappled. Subsequently, Pereira remained calm and got back to his feet before the end of the round. Furthermore, in the second round, both traded several blows to each other, and Pereira knocked Prochazka down with a right-hand counter.
The fight was then stopped after a barrage of elbow shots were hurled at Prochazka. In addition, after becoming the undisputed light heavyweight champion, Pereira savored his victory by eating some pizza. Subsequently, this has now become an iconic tradition since Pereira has been spotted eating pizza after winning via KO.
