The association of internet personalities with UFC fighters has been growing recently. Most popularly, the controversial streamer Sneako collaborated with Sean Strickland and Merab Dvalishvili last month. The former champion bloodied him during a sparring session, and the clip went viral online. Now, UFC champion Alex Pereira joined the popular Kick streamer Adin Ross for a casual encounter. To break the language barrier, Pereira’s coach, Plinio Cruz, also joined them in helping to translate.

Much like any other UFC fan, Adin Ross requested Alex Pereira to hit him. Intrigued whether he could take a UFC champion’s hit, Ross started with a left kick. As such, ‘Poatan’ landed his trademark leg kick with just 10% of his power, leaving the streamer limp. Feeling a sense of fun, Ross continued asking Pereira to hit him with knees and body shots. The LHW champion obliged and hit him with minimal power.

Although Alex Pereira controlled his power and only landed with minimal effort, Adin Ross felt extreme pain. Also, Ross had a body pad to protect him from the impact and still felt pain. This only spoke to the power ‘Poatan’ possessed in his limbs. Later, the streamer landed a leg kick and body punch to test himself, and the UFC champion remained unaffected. He only laughed at Ross’ effort to generate power and hurt him.

As such, collaborating with Adin Ross only expressed more of that side. Nonetheless, the Brazillian has a huge responsibility for headlining the historic UFC 300. As such, he is to defend his Light-Heavyweight title against Jamahal Hill.

As such, he showcased his superiority and fast-tracked his career to two world titles. Now, he aimed to defend his LHW title for the first time and jumped into training to sharpen his striking techniques.

In the video, Alex Pereira joined his coach, Plinio Cruz, for a pad work session. Starting with his leg kicks, ‘Poatan’ transitioned to a combination of strikes from knees to elbows. He looked faster and more powerful than ever. This spurred concern among the MMA fanbase for his opponent. Also, at the end of the video, his coach dropped to the ground to emulate the ground-and-pound situation, and the UFC champion didn’t hesitate to land powerful blows.

Alex Pereira has certainly bent his kickboxing skills to merge with the demands of MMA. Also, with the grappling training from Glover Texiera, the Brazilian has improved his ground game. Now, with ground and pound added to his arsenal, ‘Poatan’ looked dangerous in all aspects of MMA. As such, his fight with Jamahal Hill became one of the most anticipated fights. They face at the main event of UFC 300 at the T-Mobile Arena next month.
