Former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira has recently revealed a new side to his personality. Pereira is usually seen with a serious expression on his face and is rarely seen smiling. But, since his UFC debut, “Poatan” has displayed a naughty side to his personality. He is well-known for playing practical jokes on his teammates and fellow fighters. Pereira has a girlfriend named Merle with whom he has been in a relationship for a long time.

Pereira recently posted a video in which he can be seen grocery shopping with his girlfriend. He has left fans cracked up after he handed his girlfriend a dishwashing sponge referencing the infamous “get back to the kitchen” joke. Merle was seen taking the joke sportingly and replied to her boyfriend’s actions by saying “Obrigado” which means “Thank You” in Portuguese.

Pereira has a long-term relationship with Merle, a media presenter. She doesn’t have a social media account and not much is known about her. He has two children Alessandro and Lohan Pereira with his divorced wife. He makes efforts to be present for his children and takes breaks from fighting to spend time with his son. Pereira recognizes how important it is to be a present father.

These fun antics by Pereira have given fans a look into his life and personality. He also has a wholesome relationship with teammate Glover Teixeira and is training with him in the UFC. Fans will look forward to seeing more of Pereira’s fun side.

The Brazilian will be aiming for a shot at the UFC light heavyweight championship after defeating Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291. A fight between Pereira and former champ Jiri Prochazaka is much anticipated by the fans.
