Ex-UFC middleweight fighter Alex Pereira finally lost to Israel Adesanya after his three consecutive wins over him. At UFC 287, Israel Adesanya gave a devastating knockout blow to Alex Pereira, but the Brazilian fighter still believes he is better than the middleweight champ.
After facing his first loss in the UFC, Alex Pereira has decided to move on to the light heavyweight division of the UFC. However, this does not calm the heat of this long-standing rivalry, as “Poatan” recently claimed that he is better than Adesanya. Pereira isn’t bothered by his recent loss at UFC 287, and it shows in a recently posted video on Twitter. In the video, he showed all of the outcomes of their fights, where Pereira can be seen three times savoring the victory moment, and Israel enjoys the winning moment in the last clip.
The Nigerian-born fighter, who had an 11-fight winning streak in kickboxing, faced Alex Pereira for the first time in 2016. At the time, Pereira secured a unanimous decision victory over the current UFC middleweight champ.
Then Izzy came for the revenge fight in 2017, but he couldn’t survive and got knocked out by “Poatan.” Like in kickboxing, Pereira also ended Adesanya’s UFC winning streak via a knockout victory at UFC 281. But this time, he was prepared to exact revenge on his nightmare opponent, which he did at UFC 287. So far, Alex Pereira has a 3-1 advantage in their rivalry.
Alex Pereira’s cruel reminder to Israel Adesanya, states that he is better than him
Fans were waiting for some serious reply from Alex Pereira when Izzy taunted his son. In response, he came up with something that might provoke a rematch between the fighters. Alex took a dig at their whole rivalry with highlight clips in a video and reminded Adesanya that he still holds a 3-1 advantage over him.
Alex Pereira uploaded the video on social media platforms, saying, “We are the best. But I’m still better. Numbers don’t lie. 3:1,” reminding Adesanya that he is still better than him. Israel Adesanya’s response is still awaited by MMA and UFC fans.
Alex Pereira, who released the video on social media, is not in the mood to relieve Israel Adesanya of this rivalry. Many fans are already anticipating Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya for the third time in the UFC and the fifth time overall. Fans should expect something more fascinating now that Israel finally defeated the Brazilian.
