Glover Teixeira and Alex Pereira are very close friends. Texeira and Pereira have pranked each other multiple times. Glover also coaches Pereira in MMA. They spend most of their time together. In lieu of Pereira’s uptight demeanor, he recently played a few pranks on his coach. As of late, he shared a comedic video featuring Teixeira.
In a recent video post by Pereira on Instagram, Teixeira was in a humorous stance. In what can be a trust-fall game, an acquaintance urged him to double slap him. The video saw the persistent teaser bending and dodging the slaps. Teixeira played along, trying to double slap him, and missed every time, possibly due to having his eyes closed. The interaction has garnered many fun reactions from those around.
Recently, Pereira played a major prank on Teixeira once again. Pereira presented his Lamborghini in a way that implied it was a gift and previously gifted the coach a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Teixeira was ecstatic upon seeing the car, but the fighter shortly revealed that it belonged to him. Nevertheless, Teixeira remained proud. The video garnered loud responses from the Irishman Conor McGregor.
Pereira, aged 36, will challenge Jiri Prochazka for the vacant UFC lightweight title on November 11 at New York’s Madison Square Garden in the co-main event of UFC 295. ‘Poatan’ aims to become the latest fighter to become champion in two weight classes.
Alex Pereira praises Francis Ngannou in latest tweet
Francis Ngannou faced off against lineal boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The match took place on Oct. 28 in Riyadh. Backed by the likes of boxing legends Mike Tyson and Teddy Atlas, Ngannou gave his all. Despite his best efforts, the decision favored Fury. At one point in the match, the former UFC heavyweight champion even knocked down Fury to the mat and dazed him.
Ngannou’s performance has subsequently earned him a lot of praise from his peers in the MMA world. One of them was Alex Pereira, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise him. Pereira applauded his performance on behalf of all UFC fighters. Ngannou left the promotion earlier this year while still serving as a reigning champion.
Pereira, on the other hand, challenges Jiri Prochazka for the vacant UFC lightweight title on Nov. 11 this year. Poatan stands at 8-2 in pro-MMA and is a former two-division kickboxing champion in GLORY. He fought last in July when he defeated Jan Blachowicz via split decision. This was during his light heavyweight debut bout.
