Alex Pereira, the two-division champion also happens to be a GLORY kickboxing champion. “Poatan”, at 9-2 is also a recent GLORY Hall of Fame inductee. Recently, on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience MMA show #150, the grandeur of his titles was compared to Marvel Infinity Stones. Recent face-off spoofs and cryptic posts from the fighter have also intrigued fans as to his probable three-division glory aspirations. But these are not why the fighter is viral as of now.

Pereira, recently headlining UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden against Jiri Prochazka, is all the rage. From callouts to face-off parodies to training, to even bizarre moments of trying out new shoes; the fighter does it all. Fresh off his win, Pereira’s recent Instagram story sees him posing with an unknown female, which has instigated many reactions. A prime one mocked – “Man has been with more girls in past two weeks than Conor Mcgregor been with his whole life.”

Pereira’s ex-girlfriend, Merle Christine, recently put to rest any uncertainties surrounding their relationship. She released a firm statement addressing the rumors of their break-up, indicating that there’s no “bad blood.” Amidst the split and deleted posts came rumors of a new relationship with Brazilian fashion designer Aline Antoniassi. Even then, Pereira’s latest social media updates of a “New Year, New Girl” had fans in a frenzy.

Recently Pereira also put the heavyweight division on stern notice, being eager to fight any 265lber anywhere. However, the Brazilian also mentioned that he would only move up the ‘right way’, amidst speculations of a UFC 300 fight vs. Tom Aspinall. Only time will tell what’s in store for the fighter’s title aspirations and interpersonal relations.

Despite believing that Alex Pereira would fight for the heavyweight championship at UFC 300, he clarified that was not the case. Now, Conor McGregor has announced his return for International Fight Week. This has once again caused some to speculate that he is going to fight at UFC 300.

Pereira has a notable rivalry with Israel Adesanya that spans over two different sports. Bleacher Report has predicted Adesanya and Pereira to make their third MMA fight at UFC 300. But his title aspirations are not what storms the internet now.

It’s his interpersonal relations that have fans in a split. Amidst recent reveals of a breakup with his partner, the fighter posted a recent IG story of Aline Antoniassi driving, while he is on the passenger side. This had intrigued fans beyond measure.
