The UFC 298 press conference had some interesting interactions and trolls from the fighters, especially the men involved in the main event. Firstly, Alexander Volkanovski showed up to the presser in his ‘old man’ outfit and lived the character. As such, when Ilia Topuria answered a reporter’s question, Volkanovksi pretended to fall asleep, trolling the title challenger.

Alexander Volkanovski pretended to be sleeping when a reporter questioned Ilia Topuria about what would happen on fight night. ‘El Matador’ unleashed his supreme confidence and yet again stated he would knock out the featherweight champion in the first round. However, this smack did not affect Volkanovksi as he fully embodied the old man persona and just acted asleep.

Further, Alexander Volkanovski continued to sleep until UFC middleweight Paulo Costa went across the table to wake him up. This troll from ‘The Great’ had a huge reception among the fans, considering Topuria was booed right from the start. Further, when asked about the incident, Volkanovksi answered he was in character.

Just a few days back, Alexander Volkanovksi made an advert playing an old man. He did so to troll the critics who doubted his chances against Topuria just because he was old. As such, he ensured people witnessed the ‘old man’ live and wore the costume to the UFC 298 press conference.

Ilia Topuria had constantly bashed and discredited Alexader Volkanovski ever since the UFC booked them to fight. As such, he didn’t leave out the opportunity to troll the champion for the old man outfit at the UFC 298 press conference.

The presser kickstarted with a question aimed at Alexander Volkanovski about his costume. ‘The Great’ responded since the fans celebrated his advert playing the old man character, he wanted to have fun with it and rejoice with the fans. However, Ilia Topuria jumped on the opportunity to mock the featherweight champion. Here is what he said:

Ilia Topuria had earlier mocked Alexander Volkanovski for his age on multiple occasions. As such, he was super confident in winning the fight and becoming the new featherweight champion. However, ‘The Great’ stood firm in disproving the criticism about his age and wanted to batter the Spaniard. As such, Topuria and Volkanovski clash heads in the main event of UFC 298 at the Honda Center in California.
