Volkov landed a big straight that stunned his opponent, he followed with a barrage of strikes, and Herb Dean stepped in just as Rozenstruik was getting up. He called the fight off, and Rozenstruik immediately protested as he believed it was an early stoppage.

Many have accused Dean of messing away with stoppages, in another fight, he touched the fighter and pulled his hand away only to step in later. This time he did pull the switch, but many thought it was an early stoppage.
