Alexandre Pantoja reacts to Moreno vs France! Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara France are being targeted for a bout at UFC 277, that will crown an interim champion in the absence of Deiveson Figueiredo. The duo has formerly faced off at UFC 245 where the Assasin baby came out on top with a unanimous decision victory over the Kiwi.
According to an initial report by Ariel Helwani, both fighters have verbally agreed to a bout that will take place on the 30th of July however the venue for the pay-per-view is yet to be announced.

The upper echelons of the flyweight division have been held hostage for over two years in a constant struggle between Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo trying to one-up each other in their highly exciting trilogy. However, everyone seems to be fatigued by the constant battles, and now that Figueiredo is out because of an injury, the division would most likely want to move on.
In his previous outings, the city kickboxing prodigy, Kara-France has a more diverse resume, with him gaining two first-round finishes over #8 ranked Rogério Bontorin, former Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt, and most recently a unanimous decision victory over the former undefeated prospect and currently the number 3 ranked flyweight, Askar Askarov.
“This fight is going to be very good“- Alexandre Pantoja expects a great fight from Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France

Fans are really excited to watch this fight unfold, but another flyweight contender, Alexandre Pantoja is saddened by the fact, that the UFC forgot to place him in the title contention even after his back-to-back wins. Pantoja holds wins over both France and Moreno, and he believes he should’ve been the one fighting for the title.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, he said, “I was upset that it didn’t look like everything I did in the division. I’m showing every fight the level I’m at and I want to be recognized by the UFC, but I really believe in this company which made my art get paid for that. I beat them both in one week.”
He added, “It’s been a while but nothing changes that and the brunette must still have nightmares of his last fight with me, but being very honest I am very happy with my division. The boys are doing a great job, but I have what no other fighter has, something that when the cage is locked you can feel.”
“This fight is going to be very good. I hope they are sure that it will make a lot of difference for the division. I can’t see a favorite, but whoever is more focused on the day will win,” Pantoja concluded.
