Aljamain Sterling is the current bantamweight champion of the UFC. His dangerous grappling game makes him the best fighter in the division. Sterling has fought the division’s top fighters and demanded respect for his performances. After a brief misunderstanding with the UFC boss Dana White, the two have settled their differences. Following this tussle, it was widely speculated that White had gifted Sterling a green Lamborghini.

The mainstream media and fans were all over the claims about the gift. “The Funk Master” recently cleared doubts about the $250,000 supercar. He said, “I hate to admit it, Dana didn’t actually get me the Lambo we’re still working on that, so hopefully after this fight maybe we can make that happen”. With that, Sterling has confirmed speculation to be wrong.

As one of the most proficient fighters in the bantamweight division ever, Sterling is a true champion. He has steadily risen the ranks. For his bantamweight title fight with Petr Yan, Sterling got a lot of criticism after winning through DQ. He earned his retribution by beating Yan in the rematch. Sterling also defended his title against T.J. Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo.

The bantamweight division has been swept clean by Aljamain Sterling. He ascended to the top by beating strong opponents. He has notable wins over bantamweight legends like Petr Yan, T.J. Dillashaw, and Henry Cejudo. His next fight in the weight class is set against Sean O’Malley. O’Malley is currently second in the bantamweight rankings. He has a record of 16 wins, one loss, and a no-contest.

With complete domination over his weight class, he plans to climb ahead. At 145lbs, he would have to face the current pound-for-pound top fighter, Alexander Volkanovski. This would not be an easy task for Sterling. Volkanovski outclassed all his opponents at 145 pounds. Even talents like Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez did not stand a chance against him.

As Sterling plans to move to another division, he must first beat O’Malley. “Suga” Sean O’Malley holds the advantage over Sterling in the striking department. Only time will tell if Sterling can overcome O’Malley at UFC 292.
