“This is comedy central” Aljamain Sterling goes off on TJ Dillashaw for dismissing his threat in potential fight
Aljamain Sterling responds to TJ Dillashaw's criticism
Aljamain Sterling is not having one bit of criticism from his potential title contender, TJ Dillashaw. The bantamweight champion lashes out on the former champ for claiming his fight against Sterling would be an easy fight.
Aljamain Sterling has clearly stated his interest in fighting TJ Dillashaw next, in a bantamweight title fight. Sterling came out with a statement-making win against his rival Petr Yan at UFFC 273 to defend his bantamweight belt. Following his victory, Sterling did not waste any time to call out his next title challenger, Dillashaw.
Dillashaw, who is looking to win his belt back is ready to take on Aljamain and believes it wouldn’t need a lot of work to win his belt back. In a recent ESPN interview, “He’s good, don’t get me wrong…but he’s definitely not champion caliber,” said TJ. This did not sit well with the reigning bantamweight champion.
TJ is coming off a win against Cory Sandhagen in July 2021 after a two year ban. Dillashaw was convicted of consuming PED’s and received a two-year ban. TJ was also present during the Sterling vs Yan 2 fight at UFC 273. Sterling in a recent tweet lashed out on the former opponent for undermining his abilities.
“You should do standup with Henry Cejudo” Aljamain Sterling trolls TJ Dillahsaw in recent tweet
“@TJDillashaw who TF have you beaten that is soOoOoo much tougher than the guys I’ve faced?” wrote Sterling in his tweet. “This is Comedy Central. You should do stand up with @HenryCejudo. He’s your daddy, after he sonned your needled ass,” said Sterling taking a dig at TJ’s previous losses.
This tweet is a response to TJ’s claims that he has faced tougher competition than Sterling. Aljamain has wins over the likes of Petr Yan, Pedro Munhoz, Cory Sandhagen, and others in his recent victory run. After becoming the champion via disqualification, Sterling took his chance at UFC 23 to prove to the world that he is a legitimate and worthy champion.
After Aljamain silenced his haters in his previous bout, do you think he can handle the likes of TJ Dillashaw?
