UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling might be envied by a lot of his competitors, but there can be also people who are envied by him for other things, especially his love life. Sterling just came off having the most important victory in his career. He rematched against preceding bantamweight champion Petr Yan and secured a split decision at UFC 273. For this, Sterling had to overcome the backlash from the controversy of the first fight and a career-threatening injury.

Sterling, against whom there shouldn’t be much doubt now with him being the champion is now looking forward to a callout against former 2-time bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. However, many people think Sterling should go for a trilogy against Yan because of their belief that the latter won the second fight. Only UFC’s matchmakers will decide Sterling’s next bout at this point.

You’re not about to punk me like that… I was like hey listen he [Mayweather] is undefeated in boxing, I am undefeated in MMA if you wanna know which is the better sport we can figure out today,” concludes Sterling. The incident happened at a pool party at Palms’ Spring as per the UFC bantamweight champion.

What do you make of this incident between Sterling and his fiancee’s indirect altercation with Mayweather? Do you think Sterling’s intuition was right about how the situation was about to go? Who do you think Sterling should fight next, is there anyone else that should fight for the title out of Dillashaw and Sterling? While once he is back to the winning column, Cory Sandhagen can make a strong case for himself as well.
