“We can talk with our fists”- Aljamain Sterling reiterates his interest in fighting Henry Cejudo amid their Virtual feed
Henry Cejudo on Aljamain Sterling
Unlike the first meeting between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, Aljamain settled the score when he defeated Peer Yan fairly and squarely in the co-main event of UFC 273. At UFC 259, Aljamain won the world title after his opponent Per Yan struck him with an illegal knee in the first round. For the same reason, the previous champion was disqualified. Since then, the MMA community has treated Aljamain Sterling with contempt, believing that he did not deserve to win the title because his style of victory was surprising and unique.
The fans did not believe that the status quo was correct because the current champion did not defeat his opponent via competency, but rather through the match’s outcomes. However, in the rematch at UFC 273, he disproved the skeptics by winning a unanimous decision over Peter Yan.The champion was pumped up after the fight, relishing his victory. Up until his latest victory, he had a difficult journey.

“When it comes to wrestling you couldn’t pin a tweet”-Aljamain Sterling’s wrestling is mocked by Henry Cejudo
Cejudo has been adamant in his pursuit of a match with Aljamain Sterling. Since the sterling’s victory over Petr Yan at UFC 273, ‘Triple C’ has been eyeing a bantamweight title fight and constant jabs at ‘Funk Master.’ Henry mocked Sterling’s wrestling and hitting abilities in his most tweet. He stated, “when it comes to wrestling you couldn’t pin a tweet..your Stand Up is worse than Lieutenant Dan’s. Sign the Contract-it’ll be a great Father’s Day gift from my 2nd favorite son.”
The two went back and forth for a while like they usually do, and then Henry for some reason deleted his next Tweet, to which Aljamain responded, “You earned some respect back by winning the rematch. But I’m a different kind of fighter. When you’re finally out of timeout, maybe we can talk with our fists.”
