Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling provided a captivating glimpse into his perspective as a fighter during his interview with Bradley Martyn on the ‘Rawtalk’ podcast. He joined the interview with Merab Dvalishvili. The conversation covered a range of topics on various aspects of the MMA world.

Sterling also analyzed Sean O’Malley‘s recent victory over himself. He suggested the need for a more comprehensive evaluation of the outcome. As usual, Martyn delved into the topic of fighting professional fighters in the street to which Aljamain Sterling replied, “I’m just saying there is one way to find out. Right Jacob? I ain’t Devin Haney. I’m just saying.”

Sterling further explained that he would choke out Martyn in a street fight in six seconds. The latter had earlier claimed that he would destroy Haney in a street fight when Haney came to ‘Rawtalk’. On the other hand, Dvalishvili said that fighting is more about technique than strength.

Sterling also expressed the idea of competing against Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC featherweight champion. This underscores Aljamain Sterling’s confidence in his own skill set and his desire to test himself against the best, regardless of weight division. Sterling lost the title in his most recent outing at UFC 292 as Sean O’Malley TKOed him in the second round.

Aljamain Sterling has called for a rematch, but O’Malley is not interested. O’Malley’s plan is to face Marlon Vera in December. With him not fighting Dvalishvili, which the UFC wants, his options at bantamweight are limited. He had already beaten Henry Cejudo and Cory Sandhagen, who sit at numbers 3 and 4 in the rankings, respectively.

Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili were the guests in the latest episode of Bradley Martyn’s podcast, “Rawtalk”. In the interview, they described a wide variety of subjects, and eventually, the topic of street fights came up. Martyn is notoriously known for calling out professional fighters.

When Aljamain Sterling explained what he would do to Bradley Martyn in a street fight, Dvalishvili further explained that women have choked him out during sparring. He put forth the fact that technical superiority enabled the woman to submit to the Georgian bantamweight. “The Machine” is known to do crazy things outside the octagon. He once dove into an ice pond, resulting in stitches in the head.

Dvalishvili, along with Colby Covington, are known for their exceptional cardio. They are known to push the pace through the fight. The Georgian is nursing back from a hand injury and is awaiting his opponent. Cory Sandhagen is an option that he could look into. Sandhagen had already expressed his interest in fighting him earlier.
