Cody “No Love” Garbrandt is no stranger to fights outside the octagon. Garbrandt has tussled with T.J. Dillashaw and even Conor McGregor during the TUF season in 2015. Recently, Garbrandt traveled to Russia to help friend and training partner Lance Palmer on his ACA debut. Palmer and Bibert Tumenov will headline the event known as ACA 162. In a podcast leading up to the event, Garbrandt was invited to review the fight, but his assessment didn’t sit well with Tumenov.
He jumped up to start a brawl with Garbrandt. Both Tumenov and Palmer were present during the podcast. The officials of the podcast separated both Garbrandt and Tumenov. Apparently, Garbrandt called the Russian “a clown,” which didn’t go well with the fighter nicknamed “Headhunter.” The video of the altercation was uploaded by the X (formerly Twitter) handle VestnikMMA.
The ACA 162 event will happen on September 2 in Krasnodar, Russia. Palmer won the PFL featherweight tournament in 2018 and 2019. The 26-year-old Tumenov has a record of 12-2 and is currently on a 2-fight win streak. Cody Garbrandt withdrew from his latest bout on UFC 292 due to a back injury and continues to rehabilitate. Garbrandt is also at odds with current UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley.
The altercation between Garbrandt and Tumenov went viral on social media. Many fans were brutal in trolling “No Love,” who had a string of bad luck after winning the bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz. He lost the title to T.J. Dillashaw and is 2-4 in his last six bouts.

The altercation involving Garbrandt and Tumenov quickly gained traction across various social media platforms, ultimately going viral. Many fans resorted to harsh and mocking comments, employing trolling tactics against Garbrandt, commonly referred to as “No Love.” Fans were also jokingly referencing the Barbie box on the podcast. This online backlash occurred after a series of unfortunate events for Garbrandt. It commenced after his successful acquisition of the bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz. Subsequently, he lost the title to T.J. Dillashaw, and his recent performance history reveals a record of 2 wins and four losses in his last six bouts. However, fans are still awaiting his return.
