Anderson Silva surprises fans with impressive head movement as gold medallist shows a hard time landing shots

Silva celebrates after his exhibition bout against Bruno Machado in his return to Abu Dhabi

At 47 years old, Anderson Silva is still dazzling in the ring, and he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Silva put on a show against Bruno Machado in his most recent boxing encounter, featuring a nasty knockdown in the fifth round, but the fight still went to the bell, meaning no winner was proclaimed because the event was conducted as an exhibition.

Regardless of the outcome, Silva has continued to impress after switching to boxing from a mixed martial arts career after being released from the UFC. Silva was satisfied to paw at Machado early with a long jab while keeping his fellow Brazilian on the receiving end of his blows, despite his vast height and reach advantage. Many of Machado’s strikes were deflected by the former UFC champion, who was doing a lot of covering up.

Silva was recently observed sparring with Hebert Conceiçao, a Brazilian boxing medallist who is about to make his pro debut. The video is too brief to examine closely, yet it can be observed that the former middleweight champion can slip blows with perfect head movement. Anderson is still summoned to spar with pro fighters ahead of their pro debut, despite his age. It just confirms Silva’s status as a specimen. Silva is a master in Muay Thai, boxing, and taekwondo. He is mostly a stand-up fighter, but since leaving MMA, boxing has been his current interest. The fans are always mesmerised by his passion and skillset.

Silva’s next bout is expected to be announced in the coming months. While we wait, let’s take a look at some of the possible opponents for the UFC middleweight champion. Silva is well established in his boxing career, and after another excellent performance in his exhibition against Bruno Machado, he will return to the ring for his next bout. The cage isn’t the problem. With that in mind, fights with Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and Roy Jones, Jr. are all viable options.
