“I wasn’t trying to sh*t on Cowboy” – Anthony Smith clarifies his embarrassing story about Dan Bilzerian – Donald Cerrone
Anthony Smith clarifies his story about Dan Bilzerian and Donald Cerrone
Anthony Smith would never want beef with UFC legend Donald Cerrone. The light heavyweight fighter reveals that his story about Dan Bilzerian was by no means to put Cowboy in a bad light but instead bash the celebrity billionaire who misbehaved with his mother.
UFC light heavyweight Anthony Smith recently revealed an embarrassing story about his mom being harassed at a live UFC event for seats. The story involved celebrity billionaire Dan Bilzerian who was accused of causing trouble to Smith’s mom during the event. In the story, Anthony slipped Donald Cerrone’s name as he was with Bilzerian the night this event had occurred. After talking about this on Michael Bisping’s podcast, the story seemed to have not sat well with the UFC legend.
Last weekend, when Donald was due to fight in Austin, he was asked to talk about this incident at the presser and Cowboy laughed it off by calling this story fabricated. The fighter was not happy with the story coming out and Anthony regrets that he now has “beef” with the legend. The light heavyweight fighter said that Bilzerian was “watching porn” on his phone right next to his mother during a live UFC event.
Anthony Smith reflects on Donald Cerrone catching stray for his attack on the celebrity billionaire
“I wasn’t intentionally trying to sh*t on Cowboy. That wasn’t the purpose. I think it was collateral damage. I was really trying to sh*t on Dan Bilzerian. I stand by everything that I said but I wasn’t trying to sh*t on Cowboy,” confirmed Anthony talking to The Schmo in a recent interview. Smith regrets letting Cerrone’s name out like that and also explained how big of a fan he is of the UFC lightweight. Smith even recalls the times he wanted to be “The light heavyweight ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone”.
“I should have probably said something to Cowboy but I didn’t really have any beef with him. We were cool, that’s why I never said anything. I hope that this blows over because I don’t like feeling like Cowboy and I have beef because I do look up to him and the things he’s done and I’ve seen him interact with people, he’s a good dude.”
Anthony Smith also mentioned that the story might have slipped out of his mouth on Bisping’s Believe You Me podcast because his mother had passed away only two weeks before that.
