“As many wins as Dillon Danis,” Ariel Helwani brutally roasts Darren Till in a Twitter battle
Ariel Helwani- Darren Till
Looks like the frenemies Ariel Helwani and Darren Till will keep on sailing this boat till the end of time, but at least the fans are going to be entertained with that. But Helwani can catch a body on Twitter if he wants to against whoever it is, even if it’s Till himself. Helwani, an MMA journalist currently working for MMA-Fighting-SBN has been covering MMA since 2006 and has worked for the likes of ESPN MMA, FOX Sports and BT Sport (for professional wrestling). Helwani also has his own independent youtube channel as well where he interviews guests from the walks of MMA or pro-wrestling.
Till on the other hand is an English mixed martial artist who in his prime was undefeated for 17 fights and has wins over the likes of Stephen Thompson, Donald Cerrone, Kelvin Gastelum and many more. Till is 1-4 in his last five fights but has been investing a lot of time in growing as a fighter and has often gone from England to Sweden back and forth to stay intact with his original gym Team Kaobon as well as learn to expand his arsenal of techniques at All-Stars Training Center in Sweden, alongside UFC Welterweight Khamzat Chimaev.
Darren Till calls Ariel Helwani the “worst thing to happen to MMA”
In one of many backs and forths between Helwani and Till, it was Till who fired the first shot at one of Helwani’s tweets who was complimenting his favourite restaurant in his home city of Montreal. Till abruptly wrote in the comments “Ur the worst thing to happen to MMA”
Helwani fired back at Till with this: “Still mad I didn’t want to sign with your fugazi crypto “company”?”; Till returned with “Don’t be jealous because I’m the founder of one of the fastest rising tech companies in the world bruh” Most likely Till is talking about Block Asset, a company that provides a hot platform for NFT Collections. Till has his own collection alongside UFC Welterweight Khamzat Chimaev, but Till is not the owner of the company so it can also be something else between the two that the fans aren’t aware of.
Helwani came out with a fact in a very lethal manner, like that of a very mean troll. He said “I’m just jealous you have as many wins as Dillon Danis since 2018 mate” Helwani is basically targeting both Till and Bellator MMA middleweight Dillon Danis for having just 1 win since 2018.
What do you make of this seemingly intense back and forth between Till and Helwani and with Helwani having the upper hand in the end? Till is returning this July against fellow middleweight Jack Hermansson, who do you think will win between the 2? Will England’s own Till rise back to the top of a division, just like he once did at welterweight? Where do you put Helwani amongst the all-time best journalists for MMA?
