UFC CEO Dana White recently expressed doubt on the likelihood of bringing controversial fighter Dillon Danis to the UFC roster. Despite Danis’ potential appeal, White raised doubts, noting worries about the chaotic circumstances that seem to accompany the fighter wherever he goes.

Danis is known for his grappling career and his tenure with Bellator. Dana White recognized Danis’ celebrity and stated that he had no personal problem with the fighter. Nonetheless, he emphasized the chaotic character of Danis-related situations, saying:

We don’t need that s*** to sell fights. The athletic commission goes crazy and people start getting fined and they come after us. It’s our job to keep that s*** under control. That’s why when you see these other events with these guys and everything breaks out like that…It’s a total, unprofessional clown show.

Danis, Conor McGregor‘s teammate, has been involved with headline-grabbing actions outside the cage. This has contributed to the polarising character of his public persona. White, who is in charge of promoting the UFC brand and maintaining a professional atmosphere, voiced concern about the possible consequences of signing Danis.

White’s comments suggest that the UFC is wary of the greater spotlight and possible instability that Danis may bring. The UFC CEO stated unequivocally that the promotion places a premium on keeping control of the show. Preventing unprofessional occurrences that might hurt the sport’s reputation is their first priority.
