“Let’s Train” Belal Muhammad offers to help Nate Diaz in the fight against “LIAR” Khamzat Chimaev
Belal has oofered to train wrestling with Diaz ahead of UFC 279
Belal Muhammad is one of the biggest fans of Nate Diaz for the time being as he is set to face Khamzat Chimaev in his last UFC fIght. Belal who initially campaigned for a fight against Chimaev was left hanging when the UFC put the Chechen up against much easier competition in Diaz. Belal is riding high on a win streak and he believes he could be the one to finish Chimaev’s Career Win Streak.
It was announced earlier this week that Nate would have to square up against Chimaev if he wanted to get rid of that final fight in his UFC contract. Ever the badass accepted the fight even though there was little hope of victory. This bully tactic by the UFC turned many fans who would have usually just tolerated Nate to become die-hards in his fight against the UFC itself
One such fan he made was none other than top-ranked welterweight, Belal Muhammad. Muhammad was obviously disappointed that he wouldn’t get to test Khamzat, he was quick to show support for Nate, tweeting “Let’s Go Nate” and later a tweet where he imagined a hypothetical scenario where both Chimaev and Usman lost their fights.

Belal Muhammad wishes Nate Diaz beats Khamzat Chimaev on his way out
At the first UFC 280, promotional presser in London, Belal was part of the panel alongside former Lightweight Champion, Charles Oliveira, and Sean O’Malley. When asked by a reporter about the very real possibility of Chimaev getting the title shot after beating an unranked Diaz, thereby meaning Belal loses his shot despite facing much more relevant competition in Sean Brady.
Belal said, “I mean of course anything is possible, but obviously the big money fight they’re trying to make is Khamzat against the winner of Kamaru and Leon, but I’m team Diaz over here so Nate hit my lineup, let’s train and win this fight” offering to train the veteran in preparing for the wrestling heavy style of Chimaev.
Belal was then asked if there was any specific reason behind him rooting so heavily for Diaz, he said, “I mean who’s not a Nate Diaz fan? Everyone’s a Nate Diaz fan, I mean Chimaev lied to me, he said he’d meet me but didn’t hit me up, he didn’t answer my calls so now I’m team Diaz and I hope that he ruins the party”
