UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad has proved himself to the fans with his dominant victories over his opponents. He is known for his well-rounded skill set and high work rate. Muhammad, who has faced tough opponents throughout his career and has proven to be a formidable competitor, recently appeared on the “Anik and Florian” podcast.
On the podcast, “Bully B” spoke about his plans for the welterweight title. He believes that the welterweight champion Leon Edwards will be able to defeat No.2 ranked Colby Covington in an easy fashion. This gives him time to prepare for the champion himself. He also talked about how he is a threat to the entire division. He further added, “These guys are gonna pay for it, these guys are gonna regret it. You better get Bully B because I’m only getting better“.
Muhammad faced Edwards in 2021 and dominated the fight before it was declared a no-contest. During the fight, Edwards poked his opponent in the eye several times, even after he was warned. This caused Muhammad’s eyes to swell, prompting the referee to stop the fight and rule it a “no contest.”
Since his fight with Edwards, Bully B has been undefeated and has defeated many ranked contenders and UFC veterans, such as Gilbert Burns, Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson, and Vicente Luque. He has improved his skills and fighting style and has his eyes set on a potential rematch against the champion.

Belal Muhammad sees Colby Covington as the “easiest fight” of the division

Belal Muhammad is on a five-fight-winning streak, and his confidence is soaring through the roof. He continues climbing the welterweight division ranks, showcasing his skills and determination inside the Octagon. During a recent interview with WGN News, Muhammad didn’t shy away from expressing his opinions, particularly when asked about potential opponents.
Boldly, he took a jab at Colby Covington, stating, “I think Leon would be a harder fight. I think Colby’s the easiest fight in the division. I believe he’s achieved his position through flashy talk and having Donald Trump in his corner rather than true fighting prowess.” Clearly, Muhammad sees Covington as a fighter who’s more about showmanship than actual performance.
Muhammad hopes that Edwards defeats Covington as he has unfinished business with the welterweight champion. Fans will look forward to the much-anticipated rematch between the welterweights.
