Ben Askren backs Jon Jones for being the best UFC fighter on paper and claims that the fans don’t give Jones the credit. Askren is currently enjoying his time away from the octagon with his family and having a great time. The fighter has always been a great supporter of Jones in many scenarios.

Jones is one of the fighters who have the natural instincts to fight. The fighting IQ of Jones is unparallel and it can be seen in his fights. ‘ Bones’ have fought killers and defeated all of them in dominating fashion.

In 2011, Jones won the UFC light heavyweight championship and defended it a record 8 times. But his career has got some stains which are hard to remove. In 2016, Jones was tested positive for illegal drugs and was stripped of the Interim Light heavyweight title. After a year, the fighter beat Daniel Cormier and became the champion but was stripped again after failing the drug test.

It’s absolutely true that Jones has one of the most amazing careers so far as an UFC fighter and fans should give him the credit. But at the same time, as a professional fighter in this day and age, his personal life will always come in front of the people to judge and raise questions which are valid. Many believe that Jones is the GOAT of MMA, while many also think that the fighter doesn’t deserve the title because of his antics. It is a never ending debate that will go on for many years.
