UFC Vegas 72 and BKFC 41 went on the same night on April 29 and, according to the stats, BKFC outperformed the UFC event. Is this the beginning of the UFC’s downfall?

This time, Dana White‘s fight card may not have been able to capture the minds of the audience, the majority of whom preferred to watch bare-knuckle fighters that night. BKFC President David Feldman couldn’t be happier with his promotion’s performance. No offense to the UFC who is a phenomenal organization, obviously, No. 1 in the world. But everybody was watching us tonight,” he said post the hyped-up fight.

In the main event of BKFC 41, two former UFC warriors, Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold, clashed in a gritty 185-pound bout. The fight ultimately saw Rockhold throw in the towel midway through the second round, granting Perry a hard-earned victory. However, what really stole the show was Perry’s post-fight showdown with none other than UFC superstar Conor McGregor, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation and speculation.

Like Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold, many former UFC fighters adorn the BKFC roster such as Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes, who too fought at the event. Chad Mendes announced his retirement after losing to Alvarez by a split decision.

Conor McGregor‘s anticipated return to the UFC is one of the biggest events marked on fans’ calendars. The UFC superstar will appear on ESPN’s The Ultimate Fighter 31 as a coach against Michael Chandler. Both are reportedly set to face each other later this year as McGregor makes his return to the octagon.

Conor McGregor showed up at the recent Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event. Reportedly, he was there for the fight between his former opponents, Chad Mendes and Eddie Alvarez. McGregor even went up to face off against BKFC champion and former UFC contender Mike Perry. This automatically became one of the highlight moments of the event.

Many believe McGregor may not even come back to the UFC after speculations of injury and a tiff with the USADA. While McGregor has assured that he has, in fact, improved and will come back with fresh techniques and skills in order to stand up to his supporters’ expectations.
