In his appearance on his Nickals and Dimes podcast, Bo Nickal shared Jorge Masvidal’s story of fighting in groups and wanted to experience it. Further, he acknowledged Masvidal’s tradition of going to McDonald’s with his friends and spending the price money. Here is what he said:
Winner takes the cash and they would go to McDonald's and just house McDonald's. I like being a professional fight and stuff but that sounds more fun to me. Me and my four friends go beat the crap out of 5 other dudes and take 50 bucks from them. That's better than a $50k bonus.Bo Nickal (via Nickals and Dimes)
In the podcast, Bo Nickal explained how ‘Gamebred’ would set up the fight. He said Jorge Masvidal culminated enough money alongside his 4 friends and would book a fight with a counterpart in the neighborhood. As such, the winner of the fight took all the cash. Masvidal although had a successful professional career, he earned his reputation through street fighting.
Bo Nickal remains undefeated in the UFC right from entering the promotion through the Dana White Contender Series. He earned his first knockout win in the UFC in his latest fight. Now, he is fighting in the historic UFC 300 against fellow unranked middleweight Cody Brundage.
Bo Nickal is confident in beating the current UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis recently beat Sean Strickland at UFC 297 to become the UFC middleweight champion. Although ‘Stillknocks’ won the fight, many controversies arose regarding the judges’ decision. After watching his performance, UFC prospect Bo Nickal quoted two words in his X account and trolled the champion.
Just moments after Dricus Du Plessis grabbed the UFC title, Bo Nickal wrote ‘Easy Work’ on X. He alluded he would easily beat ‘Stillknocks’ in a potential fight. Although they competed in the same division, their paths were wide apart. While Du Plessis is the champion, Nickal is still earning his stripes and is yet to get ranked. Nonetheless, a potential fight could be on the cards if Nickal managed to rise up in the rankings.
As a stepping stone, Bo Nickal faces Cody Brundage in UFC 300. With a win in this matchup, he could look for a ranked opponent and subsequently ladder up. So far, Nickal won all his fights in MMA, and impressively, all were first-round finishes.
