Alexa Grasso became the first female fighter of Mexican origin to hold the Flyweight Championship after submitting dominant champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285. The entire country of Mexico celebrated the success, and now, three Champions from Mexico reign supreme in the UFC.
One person stands extremely proud and happy for the achievements of Grasso, it is none other than her boyfriend, Omar Laureano Marquez. He took to Instagram to write about the achievements of Alexa Grasso and her team.

Marquez further wrote about having received the best support from Guadalajara and other parts of Mexico. Further, he thanked the people from his hometown and showered Grasso with more praise because of her accomplishments.

Alexa Grasso wants to give Valentina Shevchenko an immediate title rematch
The new Flyweight Champion wants to give the former dominant champion an immediate title rematch after their bout at UFC 285. Shevchenko went for a round-house kick that missed the target; however, Grasso capitalized on the mistake, took her back, and submitted Shevchenko.
In an interview with Megan Olivi, Grasso said she would rematch her opponent immediately. The Mexican champion cited Shevhcenko’s career accomplishments as the reason for giving the former champion a title shot.

UFC has not moved to book the title rematch, and Valentina Shevchenko has not indicated when she is ready to fight again. A title rematch looks likely before the end of the year, and fight fans will look forward to whether Grasso can defeat Shevchenko a second time.
