Vinicius Jr accuses La Liga president Javier Tebas for not taking necessary steps to prevent racism in the league
After experiencing racism in the match between Real Madrid and Valencia, Vinicius Jr in his interviews and tweets went on a rant on how he has faced this multiple times in La Liga throughout his short career in the league. Vinicius Jr blamed the fans, the organization and Spanish people for treating color players in such a way.
This prompted Javier Tebas to issue a statement in which he asked the Real Madrid player to stop insulting the league. This has fumed Vinicius who in another tweet called out the president of La Liga for his inefficiency.
He wrote: “Once again, instead of criticizing racists, the president of LaLiga appears on social media to attack me. As much as you talk and pretend not to read, the image of your championship is shaken. See the responses to your posts and have a surprise.”
Vinicius made it clear that ignoring situations like this doesn’t suit a man in power like Tebas. According to the 22 year old, he wants strict actions and punishment instead of useless social media campaigns.
