After another dramatic victory at UFC 276, Bryan Barberena has swiftly established himself as must-see television. This time, Robbie Lawler, a former welterweight champion, and Barberena engaged in a back-and-forth fight in which both fighters staggered. When it appeared that Lawler was making the better strikes, Barberena immediately reversed the situation with a straight punch in response.

Lawler was knocked out as soon as the punch hit, and Barberena charged forward, flinging inside elbows and a barrage of punches that compelled referee Mark Smith to call time at 4:47 of the second round.

In the post-fight interview, he stated, “It’s everything I dreamed of and more, He can hit damn hard. He’s an absolute legend and it’s an absolute honour to be in here and fight him.”
