“Bitching about Fight” Bryan Barberena has some furious feelings towards Nate Diaz’s recent complaints
Bryan and Nate are two fighters who always bring violence along
Bryan Barberena has had enough of Nate Diaz’s complaints and wants to be the person who settles his contract for him. Barberena took offence to Diaz’s campaign to get out of the UFC and his constant complaining of not being offered fights, so he decided to be the man who steps in and gets the job done.
Nate Diaz is on the final fight of his current UFC contract and if negotiations up till now are any indication, it doesn’t seem the Stockton Bad Boy will be competing in the UFC much longer. This is despite the fact that according to Ariel Helwani, the new contract would pay Diaz, “better than 99% of the Roster” However a consequence of Diaz not re-signing with the UFC has been that he’s hardly been offered fights.
Ever since his fight against Leon Edwards which he lost via a unanimous decision last year, Diaz has been on the sidelines waiting to get an opponent. He asked for Poirier, Chandler and even Tony Ferguson, however, none were acceptable to the UFC. They on their part offered Diaz, Khamzat Chimaev for his farewell fight. Though Diaz initially accepted the fight, it ultimately fell through due to other issues.
Bryan Barberena wishes to be Nate Diaz’s last UFC Fight
After Diaz’s latest appearance on the MMA hour with Ariel Helwani, a lot more has come to light. From his refusal to build someone else’s brand on his way out to how he feels Francis Ngannou and Israel Adesanya are the only worthy opponents for him in the UFC, there was a lot to unpack. However, Barberena saw it as insulting and called out Diaz for it.
Barberena is hot off the tracks with his definitive victory of UFC veteran and former Welterweight Champion, Robbie Lawler. Now the Carolina native wants to put an end to another legend of the modern UFC.
On Twitter he said, “I keep hearing (Nate Diaz) bitching about getting a fight. I’ll fight your ass whatever weight class 170 to heavyweight,” taunting Diaz for his sarcastic demand to fight Francis Ngannou. He was sure that Diaz would duck this high risk fight as he said, “But I guarantee you come up with some excuse not to take the beating. #squareup”
Barberena has provided us with some fun scraps and is known to bring violence to the octagon. While this fight would certainly be something worth watching, the UFC would never allow Diaz to be sent off by a still rather unknown name.
Who do you think Diaz will face in his last UFC Fight? Should it be someone established like Chimaev or should Nate be given an easy fight to ride high into the sunset.
