Esparza is now the current women’s strawweight champion and the second woman to become a 2-time UFC champion.

Carla Esparza is engaged to and soon marries Matthew Lomeli, also called Matt Lomeli. Carla Esparza fiance Lomeli is a practising physician and according to Newsofmax.com, the couple met at Coffee Meets Bagel dating app in 2020. The couple dated for two years before Lomeli asked Esparza to marry her. The challenge with dating a mixed martial artist, however, is that it’s impossible to predict when a fight will be booked.
