Recently, a video of the former UFC lightweight champion engaged in a pre-fight prayer went viral online. 

The video depicted Oliveira praying backstage just before his bout against Beneil Dariush at UFC 289. It showed Oliveira lying down during a weight cut and praying for his victory. He prayed intensely in Portuguese and asked God to help him defeat his opponent without having to hurt him.
