Following his technical beatdown of top contender Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris, Ciryl Gane is aiming for the title shot next. Bon Gamin stated that he has no desire in fighting Curtis Blaydes as he doesn’t have the belt.

Gane is coming off of a big win over Australian brawler Tuivasa as he knocked out his opponent in the third round at UFC’s debut in France. Although Bon Gamin was hurt badly in the second round by Tuivasa he survived the knockdown and attacked the body of his opponent to eventually bag the win.

The Frenchman’s only loss in MMA is at the hands of the Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a title unification bout at UFC 270. After the win last weekend he is rallying to get the title shot next to settle the score with the champion. He is also happy to fight the former Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones who is debuting in the Heavyweight division.

On the other hand, Blaydes is on a 3-fight win streak after a vicious KO loss at the hands of Derrick Lewis last year. He has racked up three wins over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Chris Daukaus and rising contender Tom Aspinall. A fight with Blaydes would be dangerous for Bon gaming as he is currently trying to get the title shot.

During the post-fight press conference, The Frenchman replied to the callout, “I don’t know what’s going to happen exactly. People talk about Stipe against Jones, but I’m here, I don’t have a good answer maybe Jon Jones for the hype, for the money. I think maybe Stipe or Jones. I’m sorry, bro, if I have a choice, it’s not going to be Blaydes. This is not smart.”

When asked on the MMA Hour what is next for him after the win and if the UFC offered him a fight against Blaydes would he accept it? Gane replied, “Unfortunately he don’t have a big name, He’s dangerous but he don’t have a belt, don’t have the hype, So it’s just technical. If you look for your carrier, this is not a good choice.”
