“He doesn’t have any talent,” WWE superstar CM Punk once got BRUTALLY trashed by Joe Rogan for abysmal UFC 225 fight

Following CM Punk‘s lackluster performance at UFC 225, the famed UFC analyst and comedian Joe Rogan issued a scorching review of the former WWE superstar. Punk’s true name is Phil Brooks, and he faced Mike Jackson in his second UFC bout on June 9, 2018.

Rogan, known for his open and unedited comments, expressed his displeasure with CM Punk’s performance in his fight. He blamed Punk’s difficulties in the Octagon on a lack of athletic ability. In Rogan’s opinion, punk’s time in WWE as a scripted showman did not translate to success in the unscripted, physically demanding realm of mixed martial arts. This is what he had to say:

He’s a very nice guy and he’s a hard worker, but he does not have athletic talent. He is a showman, and when he was in the WWE, he was allowed to say, ‘I am the fucking man!’ And throw his hand up in the air and say he is the man, and they had it scripted so that he was the man.

Joe Rogan recognized Punk’s hard work ethic and attitude. He, however, claimed that these qualities could not compensate for the lack of intrinsic physical skill necessary in MMA. He argued that athletes from other sports, such as track and field or football players, might adapt more successfully to fighting because of their innate physical ability.

Punk’s debut in the UFC created a lasting effect. This was not just because of his lackluster performance but also because of the harsh appraisal offered by one of the sport’s most important voices.

CM Punk makes his return to the Survivor Series

CM Punk, the former WWE and AEW superstar, has triumphantly returned to WWE after a nine-year absence. On November 26, 2023, Punk made an unannounced entrance at Survivor Series in Chicago, causing an upheaval in the professional wrestling industry.

Punk, who began his career with WWE in 2005 and rose to prominence, quit the company in 2014. His departure was due to a mix of burnout, health difficulties, and a desire for freedom as an independent contractor. Following his departure from WWE, Punk entered the UFC, where he had poor outcomes in two fights. In 2019, he also appeared as a special guest and contributor on WWE Backstage, connecting him to the wrestling scene.

Punk’s AEW career came to an end after AEW President Tony Khan canceled his contract in August 2023. Punk’s return to Survivor Series brings a new level of excitement to WWE and sets the groundwork for what might be a thrilling chapter in CM Punk’s illustrious career.
