UFC Mexico had some incredible fights to showcase. Disappointingly, the Mexican natives Brandon Moreno and Yair Rodriguez failed to win in the main and co-main events. But, the rising Mexican prospect Daniel Zellhuber won his fight. However, it didn’t come without adversity. He faced a tough opponent in Francisco Prado, who displayed incredible heart and toughness. He continued to fight even after damaging his eye badly. Part of the credit goes to his coach, who hyped him up to fight through it.
After two rounds of action, Francisco Prado was arguably behind on the scorecards. He had suffered a beating from Daniel Zellhuber, and one of the shots opened up a nasty cut near Prado’s eyes. As such, when he resorted to his corner between rounds two and three, his coach amped him up to continue the fight and go for a finish. Here is what he said:
Fight! Fight! Just go for the center, okay? You don't need your eyes.Francisco Prado’s coach (UFC Mexico)
As soon as the bell rang, Francisco Prado pushed the pace and was the aggressor. But Daniel Zellhuber got the better of Prado as he utilized his straight punches and controlled the distance. However, this didn’t discourage the Argentinian as he stayed composed and swung for the finish until the last second. Ultimately, Prado lost the fight via unanimous decision (28- 28, 29- 28, 30- 27).
Credited as one of the best fights of UFC Mexico, fans praised Francisco Prado’s fighting spirit. Also, they noticed his coach’s words, which helped him fight through adversity. As such, they expected him to turn the tide around in the last round. But, despite trying, he couldn’t come out victorious. However, this fight earned the ‘Fight of the Night’ award.
