Colby Covington and Ian Garry have been going at each other for some time now. With verbal attacks on social media, things heated up between the two. ‘Chaos’ recently fired shots at the Irishman and his wife Layla Anna-Lee in an insulting video. Now, Garry broke his silence and gave a fitting reply.

In his response video, Ian Garry absolutely trashed Colby Covington for the remarks he made about his wife. Further, he mocked the all-American as a ‘Peak Underperformer’ and trolled his three title fight losses. As such, he found no reason to fight Covington, given he had no win over the current ranked welterweights. So, he upped the stakes and called ‘Chaos’ for an ‘I quit’ match. He challenged the 36-year-old to put it all on the line and vow to retire if he lost. Here is what he said:

You’re the only person in UFC history to lose three world title fights, and you haven’t got a single win against anybody in the top 15 right now. So, Colby, why should I fight you? I can think of one reason. I challenge you to an ‘I quit’ match, where one of us has to say, ‘I quit,’ and whoever says the words ‘I quit’ has to retire — gloves off, centre of the octagon, sayonara, my friend.

Although Ian Garry trolled Covington, his arguments came from a factual standpoint. As Garry mentioned, Covington has lost three title fights – recently to Leon Edwards at UFC 296. However, it was ‘The Future’ who called out the all-American first. The call-out stemmed from Garry wanting to avenge Covington for the vile comments he made towards Layla Anna-Lee at the UFC 296 press conference.

Ian Garry has earlier mentioned he wanted to ‘retire’ Colby Covington and rid him of the UFC. It was his stand in this video too. His ‘I quit’ match callout only emphasized the same. With animosity and bad blood boiling, this potential fight had all the drama it needed. Whether the UFC proceeds with this matchup is to be seen.

No love is lost between Ian Garry and Colby Covington. Recently, the two controversial UFC personalities have been exchanging heated words on social media. Both of them trashed and trolled each other in their recent videos. Now, ‘The Future’ took it a little further to mock the former title challenger’s stammer.

Covington is a well-spoken individual. However, he sometimes slipped while delivering lines to trash-talk. One such case happened with his recent Ian Garry’s troll video. Taking notice of this, the Irishman had to fire a shot. As such, he edited the video with a clip from the 1995 comedy film ‘Billy Madison’. Watch it below.

Garry also urged Covington to sign the contract and fight him. However, ‘Chaos’ had some disgusting stipulations which involved Garry’s family that had to be met to fight him. He even affirmed he wouldn’t fight the #7 ranked welterweight contender if he doesn’t oblige by it. As such, it is up to the UFC to facilitate smooth negotiations and put forth the grudge match.
