In a recent interview with Michael Bisping, Colby Covington discussed the possibility of sharing the fight card with Jon Jones. Covington responded to this, stating that he was doubtful whether or not Jones would be willing to share the card. This is because Covington, Jones’s former college roommate, allegedly knows all his dirty secrets from that time. He said Jones might tell the UFC he won’t fight rather than share a card with Covington.
Furthermore, Convington draws a brutal, controversial comparison between President Joe Biden and Jon Jones. He claimed that Jones has a very unpredictable character. “We know he might go sniff some white girls, kind of like Joe Biden,” Colby said. Colby caught two birds with one stone with that statement. Jones for his frequent cocaine usage and Biden for sniffing girls, as witnessed from the viral videos on the internet.
Hence, according to Covington, Jones is unreliable and might get pulled out of the card because of his unpredictability. In that scenario, Covington would be the only person who could come and save the day. There are unofficial talks of Covington facing the welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Michael Bisping said it would be a legendary card because of the main and co-event if it were to take shape. Jones is scheduled to defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295. If things go as planned, Colby could fight on the co-main event of the same fight card.
