“Piece of sh**, deadbeat dad!” Colby Covington goes on UNFILTERED rant on why he hates Jorge Masvidal

The beef between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal was well-known to the MMA world. They were once best friends who turned into bitter enemies. As such, when asked about it in Covington’s recent appearance on the PBD podcast, he went on a rant about his former friend.

Colby Covington trashed Jorge Masvidal for ‘backstabbing’ him. Further, he took a dig at him by mentioning that he was not paying child support to his ex-wife’s kids. Later, ‘Chaos’ touched down on their fight at UFC 272. He vandalized Masvidal for attacking him illegally after not being able to do anything in the UFC octagon. As such, he criticized ‘Gamebred’ for his past criminal record and felonies. Here is what he said:

I lived on his wife's coach, Maritza, the woman that he has two kids with that he doesn't pay child support to cause he's a piece of sh** deadbeat dad...He could do whatever he wanted to me in that UFC octagon legally for 25 minutes but he couldn't do sh**...He couldn't beat me legally so he had to do it illegally and he's a cheapshot artist. Look at his past history, he's stolen cars, arson, the guy's a felon.

Colby Covington didn’t stop for another couple of minutes and vented out on his broken relationship with Jorge Masvidal. As such, he called him a ‘criminal,’ ‘slime bag,’ ‘backstabber,’ and a whole lot of other names. Further, he claimed ‘Gamebred’ had a problem with his ego. Also, he mentioned that Masvidal initiated the wreckage of their friendship.

Although Colby Covington hated Jorge Masvidal, he would never fight him again. However, according to ‘Chaos,’ the reason was that he was at the top of his career while ‘Gamebred’ was retired and washed. Recently, Covington lost his title fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 296.

What was the incident for which Colby Covington sued Jorge Masvidal?

Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal headlined the UFC 272 fight card at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. The grudge matchup went down in March 2022. As such, ‘Chaos’ emerged as the victor by a dominant unanimous decision win. However, the beef between them was far from settled. As such, Masvidal attacked ‘Chaos’ just a couple of weeks after their fight.

Jorge Masvidal assaulted Colby Covington in front of a steakhouse in Miami, Florida. ‘Chaos’ suffered a concussion, a broken tooth, and other injuries as a result of Masvidal’s unannounced attack. However, Covington decided to file a complaint against Gamebred. As such, Masvidal was arrested for aggravated battery and criminal mischief.

After long months, Jorge Masvidal entered a plea deal to end the case of his assault on Colby Covington. However, Masvidal threatened Covington as soon as he was relieved from his criminal charges. As such, the feud between the two wouldn’t cool off anytime soon. As for their careers, ‘Gamebred’ retired from fighting at UFC 287, while ‘Chaos’ made an unsuccessful comeback at UFC 296.
