Colby “Chaos” Covington joined Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle. The former interim welterweight champion proclaimed his love of Christ and pre-fight rituals on the show. Covington is scheduled to fight Leon Edwards for the welterweight title before the end of 2023.

Colby Covington is known for his never-ending cardio, and one of the reasons for that remains his lifestyle choices. He has not drunk alcohol in 12 years, and it contributed to his way of life. When Ingraham asked about his faith, Covington replied, “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for god.” “Chaos” lives a lavish life in Miami but never has he slept without praying to God. The Ingraham interview reflected his political stance when discussing his friendship with former President Donald Trump. His disdain for Joe Biden was also evident in the interview.

Covington’s decision to quit drinking alcohol was because of his commitment to the first responders, the police, and the military. Covington proudly mentioned his grandfather being a pastor and growing up in a religious family. Covington’s stance on the proposed fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk was also discussed. Covington stood for Musk. Covington also blasted Joe Biden, claiming that Donald Trump would drop a “Maga Bomb “on Biden if they ever fought.

Covington’s next fight against Leon Edwards would be his third shot at the undisputed title. The former interim champion lost to Kamaru Usman twice when the Nigerian reigned as the welterweight king. The fight would most likely happen in November or December and most likely would be Covington’s last crack at the title.

Leon Edwards should be vigilant with Dana White confirming that Covington is next in line for a crack at the welterweight title. Even though Edwards beat Kamaru Usman twice, it shouldn’t mean that Covington could be a walk in the park. Covington’s fight with Kamaru Usman was extremely close. There is an argument to be made that the second fight was either a draw or a win for Covington.

Leon Edwards has been unbeaten in his last 12 fights in the UFC. Usman remains the only person to beat Covington in his last 11 outings. With both Shavkat Rakhmonov and Belal Muhammed waiting in the wings, the Covington vs Edwards fight should happen sooner rather than later. The undefeated Rakhmonov has finished all of his opponents in the UFC. On the other hand, Muhammed is undefeated in his last ten outings.

The press conference between Edwards and Covington is sure to produce fireworks. Covington is known to be controversial, while Edwards has a quiet demeanor. Madison Square Garden is touted as the venue for the fight, but no announcements have been made yet.
