The potential battle of the billionaire between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk has attracted the interest of the mainstream public. Colby Covington and Michael Chandler went on the Fox News Show featuring Laura Ingraham to discuss the potential fight. Covington went hard on the skill level of Zuckerberg and trashed the Meta CEO on the show.
Colby Covington said, “It wouldn’t even be competitive. Mark Zuckerberg, he brings beta soy-boy energy. Elon Musk brings alpha energy. He is the man of the people, he is looking to restore free speech, and he is looking to fight the corruption and collusion at the highest levels of the government. Elon Musk packs a big punch, that is the Sultan of Space X, if he punches, Zuckerberg will crumble. If he got punched in the mouth, that Jiu-Jitsu goes right down the toilet.”
During the interview, Michael Chandler picked Zuckerberg to win the bout. However, Colby did not believe that Zuckerberg could win. He also called Zuckerberg “a thief” for stealing Facebook from the Winklevoss twins. Part of Covington’s animosity towards Zuckerberg comes from the fact that the Meta banned Donald Trump continuously in the past.
Covington played a character in the interview, appealing to the Republicans, conservatives, and right-wing individuals who share a dislike towards Zuckerberg. These people like Musk because he brought back Donald Trump and Andrew Tate on Twitter after getting banned under the previous leadership. Elon is a lot older, and at the moment, Zuckerberg should be the favorite heading into the bout despite what Colby feels.

Colby Covington will fight for the title

Since Kamaru Usman lost the welterweight strap, Colby Covington got reinserted into the title picture. Colby came to London during the fight week of UFC 286 and made weight to compete as the backup at the PPV. Dana White gave him the title shot following the PPV.
At UFC 286, Leon Edwards defeated Usman as the trilogy winner. However, for some unknown reasons, Leon refused to fight Covington. The fight contract has yet to be signed, as Leon wanted a break. However, it did not change the fact that Covington gets the next title shot.
The duo will likely compete sometime at the end of 2023, now that Conor McGregor might not fight this year. The December PPV needs a headliner, and who better to headline the main event than Colby Covington?
