Michael Chandler gets a response from Conor McGregor after UFC 274
Michael Chandler has stunned the entire world with his high kick knockout of UFC superstar Tony Ferguson. Conor McGregor, like the millions watching that fight, was blown away by Chandler’s performance.
Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson went head to head at the Footprint Arena in Phoenix, Arizona at UFC 274. Chandler has been delivering some great performances inside the octagon for quite some time and just when we thought it was tough to top his previous performances, Chandler knocks out Ferguson with a “Knockout of the year” worthy finish.
Following his win, Chandler was hyped to talk to Joe Rogan in the post-fight octagon interview. In his interview, Michael called out his former opponents, Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. However, the biggest name from his call-out was Conor McGregor who Chandler has been meaning to fight since his introduction to the UFC.
After his amazing finish and call out, even the UFC superstar couldn’t resist but agree to fight Chandler on his return to the octagon. “I’d have a nice knock off this guy, no doubt about it. A firework spectacle” wrote Conor in response to Michael’s call out at UFC 274.

“I like the 170 shout also. Tipped him over. I’m definitely game to fight this guy at some stage in my career. I see it happening after tonight. Congrats on a solid win Michael and another barnstormer” wrote Conor congratulating Chandler for his performance.
Michael has been calling out Conor for the last few months and has offered to fight Conor on his return to the octagon. McGregor has been sidelined from the octagon since his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. McGregor suffered a leg injury which pushed him to surgery. The Irishman is finally started to train and is now looking to return to the octagon.
Who will it be for Conor on his return to the UFC? Will it be the welterweight champ, the lightweight champ, or Michael “Iron” Chandler?
