Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar in MMA. Fans and fighters alike highly anticipate the return of McGregor. His recent appearance on the UFC was at the Ultimate Fighter Season 31. He coached against Michael Chandler on the reality series. The two coaches were to fight in late 2023. However, McGregor entered the USADA testing pool late, making his return possible only by April of 2024.

The timing of the potential return made fans and fighters speculate McGregor and Chandler would headline UFC 300. UFC CEO Dana White recently had a meeting with McGregor in UAE. Moreover, hours after the meeting, McGregor sent a cryptic tweet with a picture of himself with Cristiano Ronaldo. Now, he has tweeted out a surprising tweet. Conor McGregor suggested a matchup between Chandler and Renato Moicano as the main event for UFC 300. McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, stated a Summer return for McGregor on the MMA Hour. With McGregor’s recent tweet, his chances of fighting at UFC 300 have decreased.
